Our Commitment to the Health and Safety of our Community

The health and wellbeing of our residents, associates, and all who visit our communities are our highest priority. With the COVID-19 pandemic continuing to evolve, we have implemented the following operational changes and will continue to update these procedures based on recommendations from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), government officials, public health authorities, and medical professionals.

Steps We Have Taken to Protect Our Community

Cleaning Protocols

To minimize risk and increase the safety for residents and associates, we use disinfectant products that have been pre-approved and certified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for use against emerging viruses, bacteria, and other airborne and bloodborne pathogens. We have enhanced our already vigorous health and sanitation procedures by implementing additional measures to provide a healthy environment.

These measures include:

  • Increased the frequency and disinfection of touch surfaces throughout the property. This includes high-touch surfaces throughout the amenity space, lobby, elevators, and parking vestibules.
  • Installed hand sanitizer stations throughout the building.
  • Increased our supply of disinfectant wipes for amenity spaces.
Amenity Spaces

Effective July 3, 2020 St. Louis County and St. Louis City issued public health orders requiring all individuals to wear a face mask or covering at all times when in indoor facilities and outside when social distancing is not possible. The requirement applies to everyone over the age of nine (9), with limited exceptions to the order for certain circumstances, and health conditions. All residents are asked to comply with these regulations when inside the common areas of our communities.

Leasing Office Supplemental Measures

The leasing office is open but is observing social distancing recommendations from the CDC. We encourage residents to contact the leasing and management team via phone, email, or through the resident portal. If an in-person meeting is desired, we ask residents to schedule an appointment in advance. This will allow staff to make sure a space is available that allows for proper social distancing.

In accordance with CDC guidance, we have taken a number of steps to protect our residents’ and associates’ health and well-being, including:

  • Requiring associates to wear a face mask.
  • Rearranging office furniture to reinforce social distancing
  • Asking associates not to shake hands
  • Requiring associates to stay home when ill

In addition, we have limited in-person tours to no more than two people per tour and are requiring them to complete a health questionnaire and temperature screening prior to touring our communities.

Maintenance Requests

Our maintenance team is responding to emergency and routine maintenance requests. Residents can submit their maintenance requests through the resident portal. When arriving at a resident’s apartment to perform maintenance, our associate will ask three questions before entering the apartment:

  • Has the resident tested positive for COVID-19 or have they been tested for COVID-19 and are awaiting results?
  • Has the resident come into close contact (within six feet) with someone who has had a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis in the past 14 days?
  • Does the resident have a fever (greater than 100.4 F or 38.0 C) OR symptoms of respiratory illness such as a cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, or a sore throat?

Our maintenance team will wear a mask, gloves, and shoe coverings while inside a resident’s apartment performing maintenance. The maintenance team is required to practice social distancing by standing at least six feet away from all residents while performing maintenance in an apartment.

Steps Residents Can Take to Protect Themselves and Others in Our Community

Protect yourself.

We encourage you to follow the CDC Guidelines on health and hygiene. In particular, wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based sanitizer that is at least 60% alcohol. Avoid close contact with sick people. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. Stay home if you are sick. Avoid shaking hands and cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze. Practice social distancing and keep at least 6 feet of space between you and other people.

Be considerate of others.

Do not risk getting your friends and neighbors sick. While in common areas, please practice appropriate social distancing by keeping at least six feet between yourself and others. Wear a face mask to help prevent the spread of droplets when you sneeze, cough, or speak. If you or a member of your household is experiencing symptoms of illness, or are awaiting test results, please do not enter common areas and amenity spaces.

Let us know about quarantine situations.

If you choose to self-quarantine because you are experiencing symptoms, or are diagnosed with COVID-19, please notify us immediately. We will be supportive in this situation, take the necessary preventive steps, and respect the privacy of your medical information. While it is not required by City or Health Department regulations that you inform us if you’re self-quarantining or have tested positive, we encourage you to so. Our team is available to help facilitate your daily activities in this situation and will not only ensure your comfort but help us protect the community as a whole.

For the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic, you should err on the side of caution in your interactions with others. Practice mask-wearing, social distancing, and take any cleaning and disinfecting measures that you think are necessary to protect your health. Click here for the CDC Website on cleaning and disinfecting your home.

Use the resident portal.

We have a resident portal through which you can enter maintenance requests, pay rent, and renew your lease. The resident portal is also an effective way to remotely communicate your needs with the staff members of your community. We highly recommend you use the resident portal for all your needs, especially paying rent, to limit in-person interactions with other people.

Stay informed.

Please do not hesitate to contact the property management team if you have any questions or concerns. We will continue to monitor this situation closely to ensure we follow the recommended measures that promote a healthy environment for all.
